Be SMART about your New Year's resolution!

We know many of you make new years resolutions every year and we know how hard it is to stick with it.  For years now, Piedmont Clinic of Chiropractic has worked with people to help them attain their health and wellness goals.

Simple changes to your daily routines such as opting for the stairs instead of the elevator, choosing to drink more water and maintaining spinal health are all steps in the right direction.

Remember, stick with one goal at a time. Master it, continue it and move on to the next.  Here is a method to use to set goals that make sense and help you succeed with your resolutions:

Be. S.M.A.R.T

Specific
Have a very specific goal in mind.  Often a small step a.e. rolling your shoulders back a few times while sitting will help improve your posture.
Measurable
Goals that are measurable are more often achieved. How can you tell when you've done it?
Attainable
Your goal has to be something you are able to do.
Realistic
Is your goal obtainable in the the time frame you have given yourself?
Timely
Goals that have a set time period are more often achieved.
